This article addresses the results of a research carried out due to the inadequacies exposed by the national check on the school sports program in Sancti Spiritus province, which also highlighted the inefficiency of the current organizational structure. Accordingly, the following question is posed: how to contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of the organizational structure of school sports in Sancti Spiritus province? Based on this question, the objective is: to propose an organizational structure that contributes to the improvement of the efficiency of school sports in the province. Concerning the methods used for the development of this article: analysis–synthesis, inductive–deductive, historical-logical, modeling and systemic approach can be mentioned. From the empirical level, the document analysis was used. As to the techniques for data collection: survey, interview and triangulation of sources were applied. The sample of the study involved sports teachers and school sports managers from the 8 municipalities of the province, including heads of chairs and municipal methodologists. Concerning the results of this research, an improved organizational structure of school sports was designed and is currently being implemented in the province.
