English Abstract: When we talk about corruption, we soon remember and quote the politicians who through their mandates take advantage to benefit from public money diverted in various ways, but we will see in this article that corruption goes beyond just politicians. Corruption is listed in our daily lives in various ways, the deviation of functions in our work is a form of corruption, there is corruption in sports practices, in collections of benefits such as family, retirement, gambling, in several different forms. There are now mechanisms that combat these practices and that should count on the help of the population through denunciations and with the full support and service of the competent authorities like the Public Ministry and the Judicial and Civil Police through investigations and seizures of the violators. Ending corruptive practice is impossible and never achieved in any country, but it is possible to heal and increasingly reduce this practice through mechanisms to arrest those responsible.Portuguese Abstract: Quando falamos em corrupção, logo lembramos e citamos os políticos que através de seus mandatos aproveitam para se beneficiar sob custas de dinheiro público desviado de várias formas, mas veremos nesse artigo que a corrupção vai além de somente os políticos. A corrupção está elencada em nosso dia a dia de varias formas, o desvio de funções em nosso trabalho é uma forma de corrupção, existe corrupção em práticas esportivas, em arrecadações de benefícios como o bolsa família, aposentadoria, em jogos de azar, enfim, em diversas formas distintas. Existem hoje mecanismos que combatem essas práticas e que deve contar com a ajuda da população através de denúncias e com o total apoio e serviço das autoridades competentes como o Ministério Público e as Polícias Judiciais e Civis através de investigações e apreensões dos infratores. Acabar com a prática corruptiva é algo impossível e jamais conseguido em qualquer país, mas é possível sim, sanar e cada vez mais diminuir essa prática através de mecanismos afim de prender os responsáveis.
