ResumoA duplicated computer based data acquisition and control system based on System V.2. which controls microprocessor based intelligent medical equipment is discussed here. The first part of the paper describes the main tasks of the control system, then the most important new features of the System V.2., which are relevant to the control system, are discussed. Finally the advantages and disadvantages of the System V.2. will be discussed from the viewpoint of this application.
