Resumo

SummaryA St. Julien type rootstock, Pixy (formerly E340/4.6), considerably dwarfed trees of cvs Victoria, Czar and Oullins Golden Gage. Thirteen-year-old trees on Pixy were approximately half the size of similar trees on St. Julien A. The yield efficiency, averaged over the whole trial period, was similar for trees on Pixy and St. Julien A, but fruit size was smaller and soluble solids higher on the former rootstock. Trees on Pixy were well anchored and almost free from suckering.
