ResumoSince motivation is a key concern in rehabilitation, methods of encouraging clients to active participation in therapy are frequently sought. The motivational level of the client is an indicator of the success that can be anticipated in occupational therapy activities. This article identifies the phenomenon of competition as a potential motivator for promoting competent performance by clients receiving occupational therapy services.
