This book places aerodynamics and fluid dynamic treatments such as cascade and meridional flow analysis within the broader context of turbomachine performance analysis. An approach to dimensional analysis is presented which links overall requirements in order to produce a coherent framework embracing all aspects of turbomachine design and analysis which is a new and powerful approach. Computer methods are introduced where relevant and helpful. It contains new treatment of performance analysis which links dimensional analysis to velocity triangle and fluid dynamic analysis, and a chapter dealing with ducted propellers. Also employs modern computer methods and provides several useful computer programs in the appendix.
