Resumo

Cyprian of Carthage is one of the most important witnesses of communio and its implications in the Ancient Church. This study is focalized on his thought about the link between Eucharistical Sacrament and ecclesial communion. In his writings, this African Father shows a clear vision of Eucharist as a communional sacrament, traded by Christ in order to produce the divine unity of the Church. Because in the mystery of the bread, the wine and the communitarian participation of Christians, we have a real sign and a effective agent of ecclesial communion.
