Study on Effectivness of Design Guidelines Agreements at Shopping Streets in Yokohama

This paper surveys how effective design guidelines agreements at shopping streets have been in Yokohama. Design guidelines have been effective at Bashamiti shopping street and Motomati, so control areas of design guidelines have been enlarged there. Identifiable characters at each street, red brick pavement at Bashamiti, big trees at Isesaki, granite pavement at Motomati, and white stores at Ohkurayama, have been maintained well by each design guidelines.
