ResumoBegonia bhutanensis P.Gyeltshen & M.Hughes (Begoniaceae) is described from the warm broadleaved forests of Zhemgang district in Bhutan. It is assigned to Begonia sect. Diploclinium as it has a tuberous habit and bifid placentae and is similar to Begonia rubella Buch.-Ham. ex D.Don, but differs in having fimbriate bracts (not entire) and rounded wings on the capsule (not elongate triangular). A key to species of Begonia sect. Diploclinium in Bhutan is provided.
