The organization of rivers in drainage areas is the natural result of one interaction between sorne factors as the litology the topography, the climate and the physical characteristics of water that, altogether, it losts degrees of freedom at the same time as it increase the distance to the sources.This work explain sorne simple morphometrical aspects of Catalonian drainage area of Segre River like the stream arder, the length and the orientation of channels, the Segre basin area and other physic?lcharacteristics; its relationship are also considered.The Segre basin have a pronounced hydrographic decompensation; however, they exist any regularitys with hydrological and biological implications, related to ripeness physiognomy and stability of the ecosystem whose thorough knowledge through the morphometry, are important to planning and interpretation of limnologiéal studies in general.
