ResumoFollowing a structural and thematic analysis of the Egloghe miste by Bernardino Baldi, there emerges a tightly woven link between the texts themselves and an experimental approach based on a bold game of combinations and various degrees of contamination of the genres of the pastoral and piscatory eclogue. This article retraces the antecedents and possible influences that lay behind Baldi’s work, shedding light on its significance and originality within the tradition of the 16th-century eclogue.
