ResumoThe paper analyzes how the academic production has occurred in a PostGraduate course in the Military Police of Paraíba.We conducted a qualitative documentary research on Course Conclusion Papers themes to understand what type of model exists to the construction of scientific knowledge.In closing, we found that unlike scientific production in the Military Police (MPs) Academies based on an uncritical model due to the militaristic organizational culture, the adopted model in the State of Paraíba has a double perspective: a pragmatic knowledge to apply the results to the police reality and other with a critical point of view.This demonstrates that the educational process studied can be better understood perhaps to serve as a model for other MP institutions in our country.
