Each show starts with Efron explaining that the purpose of the series is to find new perspectives on very old problems and healthy, sustainable living solutions. He is accompanied by self-proclaimed wellness expert Darin Olien, who lacks credibility, but adds some entertainment value to the show. The pair travel to eight different locations to examine creative, sustainable solutions addressing the importance of bees, renewable energy, ecovillages, longevity and genetics, biodiversity, medicinal plants, sustainability, and water. The show is structured to be consumed by a general audience. The language is not science-dense, and the silly, light-hearted interactions between Efron and Olien are central to each episode.
