Resumo

The Coleoptrrn collected by Mr. Eriksson are extremely interesting, inasmuch that they are all of a true South-African type, identioal i a most cases with those of the Zambeze-Mozamhiqne fauna, but totdly different, except in very few instances, from those of the pure Cape Colony fauna, and certainly greatly differentiated from that of C e n t d Angola, as known by the descriptions of Von Harold and others.The material at my disposal, although large, is not sufficiently cemplete to give a true idea of the coleopterous fauna of that part of the country, but, with the exception of very few Senegal and West African form, i l may be said to be the same, althoagh varying slightly, as the one met with from the North of Qnilimane to Mossamedes, and AO F' r ..* 1' now know, I am satisfied that on the 160 of latitude, is the trl. 2 I::,) st of the South-African Coleopterous fauna.The abundn n 1 , \ f '; raphipterzcs is IL very noticeable feature of the Carsbidce, wliir'n ' with that of Polyhirma and Anthia, imply
