ResumoThe auscultation of lung sounds is a technique frequently used in medicine for the diagnosis of diseases or disorders on the respiratory system. The conventional stethoscope is an instrument used for auscultation and its proper use requires practice and experience. This article presents the development of an electronic system for recording sounds coming from pulmonary auscultation, which is going to be recorded, analyzed and compared, through two types of auscultation. Signal acquisition and conditioning circuits, analog and digital filters, amplification circuits and signal reconstruction circuitswere implemented with the aim of facilitating the identification of any disorders. The results obtained are presented and discussed, providing a clear scenario of the advantages and disadvantages between the use of electret and PZT sensors.
