ResumoThe social isolation, necessary to reduce the spread of the virus that causes the greatest epidemic ever experienced, brought the need for a series of adaptations to guarantee education for all. However, as it is a context that has never been never experienced before, this study is necessary, which sought to analyze the adaptations implemented in the municipal education system of Riacho de Santana, a small municipality in Bahia due to Covid-19, as well as their impacts on inequalities. For this purpose, a research was carried out with the perspective of Historical Dialectical Materialism, in which the teachers of the municipality were invited to answer a questionnaire about the educational actions developed during the pandemic. The results demonstrate that there are no unified public policies for social well-being to provide elementary conditions for the most vulnerable. Although several actions were taken to adapt education to Remote Education, teachers, families and students have experienced a series of difficulties, which means, in the last case, the worsening of social and educational inequalities.
