ResumoThis review describes, in the individual chapters, the principles of affinity chromatography, the choice of attached affinants and the required characteristics of adsorbents for affinity chromatography. It also gives a brief survey of the most common solid supports. The conditions of the adsorption and desorption of the products isolated on insoluble affinants are discussed. The last chapters deal with commercially available insoluble affinants and briefly discuss the merits of the method. A table is included summarizing the use of affinity chromatography for the isolation of various biologically active products. The table lists more than 140 references which are mainly from the years 1972 and 1973.
