ResumoThe aim of this work is to report the presence of the flour mite, Acarus siro L. (Astigmatina: Acaridae), in Senador Amaral, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Specimens of this species were recovered from litter of a poultry house in 2018, 2019 and 2020, as confirmed by morphological and molecular identification. This is the first confirmed report of this invasive species in Brazil, so far regulated as a quarantine pest. Two predator species, Blattisocius keegani Fox (Mesostigmata: Blattisociidae) and Cheyletus malaccensis (Oudemans) (Prostigmata: Cheyletidae), were found in association with A. siro.
