Dies folgt aus hochauflösenden transmissionselektronenmikroskopischen Aufnahmen (I). Im abgeleiteten Strukturmodell II sind die Bindungswinkel eingetragen, die für die äquatorialen BaI4-Einheiten entlang der zentralen oktaedrischen eindimensionalen BaI2-Kette in einer SWNT-Kapillare ermittelt wurden.
