Resumo

Von Plättchen zu Schichten: Eine topochemische Phasenumwandlung mit Brom in Acetonitril überführt β-Co(OH)2 in monometallisches Co2+,Co3+-Schichtdoppelhydroxid (LDH) mit einem Co2+/Co3+-Verhältnis von 2:1 (siehe die Elementkarten für Co, Br und O in einem Co2+,Co3+-LDH-Plättchen mit intercaliertem Br−). Weitere Behandlung führt unter Abblättern von Co2+,Co3+-LDH zu positiv geladenen Co(OH)2-Nanoschichten. Längenskala: 2 μm.
