New records of Laboulbeniales (Fungi: Ascomycota) from Ecuador and other countries

ResumoAbstractTwenty species of the Laboulbeniales parasitic on beetles (Coleoptera) are reported for the first time from Ecuador. These are: Acompsomyces corticariae Thaxt., Cantharomyces robustus T. Majewski, Ceratomyces cladophorus Thaxt., Compsomyces palamini Thaxt., Corethromyces piesticola Thaxt., Diaphoromyces zirophori Thaxt., Dimeromyces unguipes Thaxt., Dioicomyces anthici Thaxt., Euzodiomyces lathrobii Thaxt., Hesperomyces virescens Thaxt., Histeridomyces ramosus Thaxt., Homaromyces epieri R.K. Benjamin, Hydrophilomyces rhynchophorus (Thaxt.) Thaxt., Kleidiomyces hoplandriae Thaxt., Meionomyces mychoceri Thaxt., Peyritschiella furcifera (Thaxt.) I.I. Tav., Scaphidiomyces baeoceri Thaxt., Smeringomyces anomalus (Thaxt.) Thaxt., Stichomyces conosomatis Thaxt., Teratomyces mirificus Thaxt. Two species, Cantharomyces robustus and Meionomyces mychoceri are new for the whole American continent and nine other species are new for South America. New records for the same parasites are also reported from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, French Guyana, Guinea, Honduras, Italy and Sierra Leone.
