Dieser Ansatz bietet eine Alternative für die Entwicklung organokatalysierter Reaktionskaskaden (siehe Schema, EWG= elektronenziehende Gruppe) und ergänzt die Diels-Alder-Reaktion bei der einstufigen, hoch stereoselektiven Synthese komplizierter Cyclohexangerüste.
