Eleven eases of pneumatosis coli are presented, these being the sum total of the readily accessible examples of this disease in Queensland to date. The clinicopathological features of these cases are similar to those reported by other authors. Remissions of the disease may follow persigmoidoscopic rupture of the cysts in the colon. Synonyms of pneumatosis coli are pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis (involving the colon) and colonic gas cysts.
