We will miss Dr. Israel Tirkel’s expertise in factory and manufacturing integration. Dr. Tirkel has served as an Associate Editor for six years and will step down with this issue. Dr. Tirkel worked for Intel for twenty-three years before accepting his current position as a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. In addition to serving as Associate Editor of the Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing, Dr. Tirkel is on the technical committee of the IEEE Semiconductor Manufacturing Automation. We will miss Israel’s industrial experience on the editorial board as well as his diligence and dedication in evaluating the newest work to improve factory automation and operations. Thank you so much Israel for your service and best success in the future.
