Die Titelhelicate wurden durch Reaktion geeigneter Ligandenstränge mit Cu2+-Ionen erhalten. Der Einbau unterschiedlich vieler N-Donoreinheiten in einen Ligandenstrang mit Phenyl-Spacer ergibt ein fünfkerniges, kreisförmiges Kopf-Schwanz-Helicat, wogegen bei Reaktion zweier verschiedener Liganden ein heteroleptisches, fünfkerniges, kreisförmiges Helicat gebildet wird (siehe Bild; grün: Cu, rot/blau: Liganden).
