Robert P. Wolf has re-joined Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc., as its new vice-president, business development. In that position, he is responsible for customer support, marketing, and product management. Wolf has 15 years of direct experience in the hearing instrument industry and was a principal force in establishing Siemens's success in the worldwide hearing aid market. He served as vice-president, sales and marketing for Siemens from 1994 through 2000, as well as being president of Siemens Hearing Instruments Canada in the early 1990s. For the past 2-1/2 years, Wolf was a vice-president with Sonic Innovations. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Audiology Online, Inc. He holds a master of clinical science in audiology and a BS in microbiology and immunology. Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, has appointed Jodi A. Cook, PhD, to its Department of Otorhinolaryngology, where she will direct the hearing aid program for the Mayo Clinic. Cook will also have clinical responsibilities and conduct clinical research related to hearing aids. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, she was a clinical assistant professor at Arizona State University and director of audiology for Songbird Hearing. She has extensive experience in establishing and managing audiology clinics abroad and in the US and has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to amplification.Figure CookOticon, Inc., has appointed Gordon Wilson as vice-president of marketing for the company's U.S. operations. Wilson, who joined Oticon A/S in 1991 as a product manager, has over 12 years of experience in hearing care development and marketing. Most recently, he worked in Oticon's Copenhagen, headquarters where he managed the business teams responsible for the development and marketing of the Swift, Ergo, Atlas, and Sumo product lines. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Western Australia and an MBA from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Peter Mark, the former vice-president of marketing, has returned to Copenhagen with his family, where he will continue to consult with the company on marketing and other issues.Figure WilsonGN ReSound has announced several appointments. Tina Papke has rejoined the company as regional sales director for the Western region. Papke has held several sales and marketing positions in the hearing industry, including being US product director, instructor, and contract trainer for GN ReSound and national and regional sales manager for Ensoniq Corporation. She formerly ran and then sold a hearing instrument practice in the Seattle area. GN ReSound has also named Brad Romney as a regional sales manager based in Salt Lake City. Romney will partner with the inside sales representative, Melissa Johnson. A graduate of the University of Utah, he brings to GN ReSound 10 years of sales experience. Christopher Smith has been named regional sales manager for the Albany, NY, area, where his inside sales representative will be Deanna Serrano. Smith, who worked for 7 years in medical pharmacy sales, holds an MBA from Fitchburg (MA) State College. GN ReSound has named Michele Gotsis regional sales manager for Washington, Alaska, and Eastern Oregon. Gotsis holds a master's in audiology from Purdue and has worked as a clinical audiologist as well as being in sales for 3 years. She will partner with Melissa Johnson. Finally, Mike Withrow was named regional sales manager for the Pittsburgh area, where he will partner with Christine Dupont. Beyer, who holds a degree in communication and marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, has spent 13 years as a new business developer in the advertising industry. Krantz, a graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville, MN, has been in the hearing industry for more than a decade. Beyer and Krantz serve customers in Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
