ResumoDistinct findings were shown in the upper gastrointestinal radiographs of 18 of 19 patients who presented during a four-month interval. In all, endoscopy disclosed patchy erythema and superficial aphthous ulcers in the antrum. Epigastric pain was the presenting symptom in all patients but one, in whom it was painless gastrointestinal bleeding. The radiographic criteria for the diagnosis include antral mucosal crenulation, transient antral spasm, and lack of normal antral distension.
