ResumoVibrio species are diverse rod-shaped gram-negative bacteria which have been associated with gastroenteritis, bacteremia, and wound infections. The Vibrio species responsible for human disease include Vibrio cholerae and noncholera Vibrio species. The most common clinical manifestation of Vibrio infections includes diarrhea which can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Prevention, antibiotics and supportive care are the mainstay of management.
