Die asymmetrische Aktivierung des flexiblen Biphenols 1 und Ti(OiPr)4 mit Cinchonin 2 erzeugt in situ einen effizienten Katalysator für die asymmetrische Strecker-Reaktion von N-Tosyl(Ts)-Iminen. Unter milden Bedingungen werden Aldimine, Arylalkylketoimine, unsymmetrische Diarylketoimine und weitere Substrate zumeist hoch enantioselektiv umgesetzt (bis 99 % ee).
