ResumoIssue 6 contains a second paper of Reinhard Siegmund-Schultze titled “Richard von Mises' work for ZAMM until his emigration in 1933 and glimpses of the later history of ZAMM”. This paper highlights the complexity of the development of the ZAMM from its founding up to the death of the founder of the ZAMM, Richard von Mises. In addition, the readers get information concerning the difficulties after 1933 and the problems to establish a similar journal in USA. The high standard of the scientific level of the journal had a great influence on publications outside of Germany. Especially, if we are looking to Russia (former Soviet Union). In 1936 the journal “Prikladnaya Matematika i Mekhanika” (with the one-to-one translation Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics since 1958 until 2017) was established by academic Boris G. Galerkin. Galerkin had excellent contacts to German scientists, among them Heinrich Hencky – one of the most active (and even until now most cited) authors in the 20ies of the previous century of the ZAMM. This was possibly the starting point of the establishment of a similar journal in the Soviet Union. During the next two months of summer break, there will be no special papers devoted to the 100 years jubilee of the ZAMM. I hope that we can continue in September.
