Die hier vorgestellten übergangsmetallfreien Kohlenstoff-Nanohornaggregate – kovalent gebundene Aggregate von Einzelwand-Nanoröhren – wurden in wasserlösliche Derivate überführt (siehe Bild), die zur Ermittlung der Cytotoxizität mit Zellen inkubiert wurden.
