Resumo

The decay of 2.1 d 238Np was investigated by means of singles and coincidence spectrometry with Ge(Li) counters and a six-gap orange beta-spectrometer. Fast lifetime techniques with Ge(Li) detectors were used. New 238Pu levels were established at 1082.6 keV (K, Iπ = 4, 4−; t12 = 8.5 ± 0.5 ns) and 1202.4(3, 3−), they are interpreted as the Σ = 0 and Σ = 1 doublet of the [743]72−, [631]12+ two-neutron configuration. Other odd parity levels were established at 661.4(0, 3−), 962.7(1, 1−), 985.5(1, 2−) and 968(2, 2−).
