Ersetzt man K2CO3 durch starke organische Basen wie die Phosphazenbase P2Et (deren konjugierte Säure hier abgebildet ist), so lässt sich hoch reaktives [18F]F− ohne eine azeotrope Wasserverdampfung zurückgewinnen.
