ResumoAbstractAbstractThe reproductive systems of 17 isolates of myxomycetes representing 10 species were examined and all of them were found to be nonheterothallic. For some species, Didymium difforme (one isolate), Didymium squamulosum (three isolates), Physorella oblonga (one isolate) and Physarum compressum (two isolates), these results provided additional nonheterothallic reports to earlier studies. For other species, Didymium iridis (three isolates), Diymium minus (one isolate), Fuligo septica (three isolates) and Stemonitis flavogenita (one isolate), these results added nonheterothallic isolates to previously known heterothallic/nonheterothallic combined systems. For the remaining two species, Didymium dubium (one isolate) and Physarum roseum (one isolate), these results were the first investigations of reproductive system and also the first report of spore-to-spore cultivation of Physarum roseum. Also, all known myxomycete culture and reproductive systems reported in the literature were compiled and reviewed.Key Words: heterothallismmating-systemmyxomycetesnonheterothallism
