Resumo

Tuberculosis cutis miliaris acuta generalisata is a rare form of cutaneous tuberculosis which occurs primarily in children from the dissemination of pulmonary or meningeal tuberculosis, or after various exanthematous diseases. Papulovesicles, pustules, macules, purpuric lesions, and subcutaneous nodules may be present. The histologic picture of an early lesion consists of a focal area of necrosis and abscess formation containing numerous tubercle bacilli surrounded by a nonspecific dermal inflammatory infiltrate. This report describes a case of tuberculosis cutis miliaris acuta in a 30-year-old white man. Only 15 cases in adults have been reported previously; the data are tabulated.
