ResumoA year has passed since the Second European Cardiological Con gress was held in Stockholm.The members of the Organising Com mittee of the congress think that the presented papers were of a very high standard and were followed with very great interest by the congress members.It was a great pity that we were unable to pub lish the papers in extenso in a special collection of papers.How ever, through the generosity of the publisher of Cardiología, Dr. Karger, it has been made possible to publish a special issue of some papers presented at the Congress.We are most grateful to Dr. Karger and to the Editorial Board, especially to Dr. Hegglin, who have made it possible to have this collection published in this separate issue.
