ResumoPresumably as a result of variations in preparative techniques, silver-silver chloride electrodes prepared in different laboratories may vary in potential by as much as 0.2 mV.The specific causes of this variability have not yet been identified. The routine standardization of this electrode as recommended 22 years ago should therefore be continued.
