ResumoAbstract The test was located at the Agricultural Experiment Station in Inarajan, Guam. Seeds were planted Mar 12, at a density of 2 seeds per hill with 1 ft spacing between hills. Each plot consisted of 3 rows, 15 ft long and 4 ft apart. Treatment plots were replicated 4 times in a randomized block design. A barrier row of sweet corn was planted between rows to reduce drift. Sprays were applied with a Solo backpack sprayer 425. Triton B 1956 was used as a sticker at the rate of 1 tsp/3 gal. Once flowering began, all plots were treated with Dipel twice weekly to reduce pod borer numbers, otherwise the check would have produced no yield. Sulfur was applied as needed to control broad mites. The plots were treated both preplant and one month after planting with Terrachlor and Captan to control Rhizoctonia root rot, despite which some plants died from the fungus.
