ResumoNew to Kenya.Although differing much in appearance, induced by habitat, the leaf structure in both gatherings is identical. The first specimen is similar in appearance to the isotype seen, from the W. slope of Mt Muhavura, Uganda, Hedberg 2166 (BM).Noticeable, but not shown in Potier de la Varde's (1955) figure, is a single marginal row of small, isodiametric cells near the commencement of the basal expansion of the leaf, shown in both of the above gatherings as well as in the isotype.3. Barbula pachyloma Broth.
