ResumoThe work analyzes the goals contained in the State Education Plan of Rio de Janeiro (PEE / RJ), related to the operating conditions of Basic Education schools and teaching work.The central objective is to verify the situation of the state public network, during the term of the Plan, compared to the PEE / RJ.More specifically, it seeks to highlight the actions presented to comply with the provisions of the Plan.It is a documentary research that has as main sources the official reports issued by the State Department of Education itself.It concludes with a diagnosis of aspects of teacher qualifications, training programs and valuing professionals, infrastructure, enrollment supply and demand, comparing these data with the goals established in the PEE / RJ.
