Zwei Moden sind an der Schwingungsrelaxation zumindest beteiligt: die Fe-N-Streckschwingung (siehe Bild) und die kohärent angeregte Chelatring- und Biegeschwingung, die auf unterschiedlichen Zeitskalen relaxieren.
