ResumoEven after 400 years, Shakespeare's work is still being performed/transformed/adapted into multiple media, many of them quite far from the original texts. This article analyses two works derived from Hamlet -the painting by Henry Fuseli "Hamlet and the Ghost" and Liszt's Symphonic poem titled "Hamlet".Both pay homage to the British playwright. The first conveys man's feeling of frailty at facing supernatural power. The second draws a correspondence between the characters' feelings throughout the musical piece. In conclusion, it can be said that the poet continues to feed recreations and what we call unique and authentic in Shakespeare today is only his plays' ability to be transformed into multimedia texts.
