Katalyse mit chiralen Anionen: Der Katalysator 1 mit einem chiralen Anion wurde zur asymmetrischen Epoxidierung von α,β-ungesättigten Aldehyden mit dem stöchiometrischen Oxidationsmittel tert-Butylhydroperoxid kombiniert (siehe Schema). Das System wandelt di- und trisubstituierte Enale mit bemerkenswert hohen Diastereo- und Enantioselektivitäten in die entsprechenden Epoxide um.
