This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: to assess the effects of ketamine and other glutamate receptor modulators in alleviating the acute symptoms of depression in people with unipolar major depressive disorder to review the acceptability of ketamine and other glutamate receptor modulators in people with unipolar major depressive disorder to investigate the adverse effects of ketamine and other glutamate receptor modulators in people with unipolar major depressive disorder
