This article aims to analyse the of Family Christian-new, from Mestre Afonso and Maria Lopes, who Lived in Bahia Captaincy in the end of the sixteenth century.This period was marked by the sending of the First Visitation of the Holy Office to parts of Brazil (1591-1595).The family group was the victim of numerous accusations of crypto-judaism, which posed as a potential target of inquisitorial repression, represented by then visitor Heitor Furtado de Mendonça.
