ResumoFujita, N. and Tada, T., 1983. Anomalous crustal uplift in the northeastern part of the Izu Peninsula, central Honshu (Japan). In: P. Vyskočil, A.M. Wassef and R. Green (Editors), Recent Crustal Movements, 1982. Tectonophysics, 97: 147–152. In the northeastern part of the Izu Peninsula near the northern boundary of the Philippine Sea Plate crustal subsidence extending for several tens of years and intermittent anomalous crustal uplift extending over about 10 years have occurred alternately. It seems likely that the strain energy in the northeastern part of the Izu Peninsula has been released mainly in the form of the intermittent aseismic crustal uplift.
