Resumo

Fluorouracil is a cytotoxic drug synthesised in 1957. 1 When it was given systemically to patients with leukaemia who happened to have solar keratoses intense erythema developed in and around the keratoses, and in 3 weeks they cleared. 2 The drug was then used topically to treat various skin lesions.
