He received his doctorate in anthropology at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, in 1993. He is the author or coauthor of several articles on late Pleistocene archeology of Alaska and the Bering Land Bridge area, as well as the Middle-to-Upper-Paleolithic transition in Siberia. Currently he is codirecting two field projects, one in the Baikal region of Siberia to investigate the evolution of Upper Paleolithic adaptations to the mammoth-steppe and the other in the central Great Basin, Nevada to investigate Paleoindian-early Archaic adaptations.Search for more papers by this author Ted Goebel, Ted Goebel Assistant professor Anthropology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
