Resumo

S ummary The clinical and pathological features of six patients with facial granuloma are presented. Of a total of 11 lesions biopsied, only one was correctly diagnosed clinically, eight other lesions being regarded as basal cell carcinomas. Histological diagnosis was delayed in one patient with multiple and extrafacial lesions, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis. Facial granuloma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any mixed inflammatory dermal infiltrate with an eosinophil component occurring in sun‐exposed skin.
