ResumoReaktiv, aber biologisch inert: Die bioorthogonale Titelreaktion ermöglicht spezifische chemische Modifizierungen, z. B. Lipidierungen, von synthetischen Proteinen mit Diphenyltetrazolgruppen (siehe Schema). Die Cycloaddition in biologischen Medien verläuft extrem schnell (≤1 min) und toleriert Proteineinheiten. Mit einfachen Alkenen werden stark fluoreszierende Pyrazolin-Cycloaddukte erzeugt.
